Wouldn't this activity have been even better with Yellow Yarn? Why, yes of course! Unfortunately I really don't like going out and buying more things and spending more money when I already have something I can use.
My poor kids, they don't know what they are missing. They look pretty happy though.
The kids were given yarn scraps, glue, a paper to glue it all on, and scissors to trim the yarn.
The kids traced their Y's before gluing the yarn on.
We were doing quite a bit this day so I wanted something quick, yet hands on for the kids to relate to the letter. When I say quick, it actually took them more time than I anticipated. It kept them busy for quite a while. I thought basic meant quick but that is not always the case. They enjoyed doing this.
